Wallpaper removal has never been for the feint of heart. It can range from extremely frustrating to significantly damaging. Rarely does wallpaper ever come off with any ease at all. Certainly not with anywhere near the ease at which it’s installed.

KCG Painting is experienced in this frustrating removal process, able to do so without damaging the substrate of paper covered sheetrock, which the wallpaper is glued to. If fortunate, sizing or paint was applied to the wall prior to wallpaper installation. This makes it so the wallpaper can be perforated, steamed and removed by our professional team.

Once the removal process is complete and the remaining adhesive is also removed, a new layer of wallpaper can be applied on the wall once more.

If preferred, alternately a layer (or 3) of paint can be applied instead, making for a more easily maintained surface to replace the wallpaper.
